About Toby Greene
I am an academic with a background in policy research and political communications. My research and teaching focuses on foreign policy decision making, European foreign policy, and the international politics of the Middle East and the Israeli-Palestinian arena. I am a Visiting Lecturer in the Department for Political Studies at Bar Ilan University, and I have held research and teaching positions at LSE, Hebrew University, Tel Aviv University and Queen Mary University of London. I publish and lecture widely for scholarly, professional and general audiences and I am the author of Blair, Labour & Palestine: Conflicting Views on Middle East Peace After 9/11 (Bloomsbury Academic, 2013).
In this video for Fathom I discuss two policy papers (co-authored with Jonathan Rynhold) dealing with the political future of a post-Hamas Gaza: ‘Beyond Humanitarian Aid: A Plan for Gazan Civilians Is a Strategic Necessity for Israel’ and ‘URGENT: An Israeli Strategy for a Post-Hamas Gaza’.
